For our third-year DPM module (Design Principles and Methods), we were asked to choose a point of contact (moment when the body meets the architecture) to study a material of our choice and vice versa. Our group decided to focus on the single step found in Orthodox churches across Romania, that are meant to be stepped over rather than on. The material we chose to explore: sugar.
